Privacy Policy

SlipSaver helps businesses capture documents and review potential tax claims. Contact info@slipsaver.co.za about this policy or your personal information.

Information we process

Why and how we process it

We use this information to authenticate you, isolate company workspaces, extract receipt data, calculate claim estimates using our rules engine, produce exports, operate subscriptions, respond to support requests and protect the service. Other members of your company can access its shared records.

When you submit a document, its image/text is sent to OpenRouter and a selected AI model provider for extraction. Our requests exclude providers that allow data collection. AI extracts information; SlipSaver's rules engine calculates the claim treatment. We do not sell personal information or train our own models on your documents.

Our hosting, Google authentication, OpenRouter/model providers, Resend transactional email and Yoco payments process information necessary for their services. Optional messaging channels process what you send through them. Processing can occur outside South Africa. See OpenRouter privacy and Google privacy.

Camera, files and local storage

You choose which photos or files to submit. The Android app uses the device camera/gallery and the system share sheet for exports. It does not request broad access to your photo library or collect GPS location. Exported files you save or share outside SlipSaver remain under your control.

We keep the session token and preferences on your device. The signed-in app and native app do not collect product analytics. On the public marketing website, analytics only runs after an explicit opt-in and may include a random visitor/session identifier, page activity, IP address and device/browser information. Marketing analytics expires after 90 days. Login alone is not analytics consent.

Delete your account and data

In the app, open Profile → Delete Account. You can also use the account deletion webpage without installing the app, or email info@slipsaver.co.za from your registered address. We verify account ownership before acting on an external request.

Operational backups are restricted to recovery and must expire within 30 days. Deletion must be reapplied before a backup is restored to service. Files you exported, emails already delivered and records held independently by payment or messaging providers are outside the app's live storage; contact those providers where appropriate.

Your choices and rights

You can review and correct your profile, export records, disconnect optional channels and request access, correction or deletion at info@slipsaver.co.za. Do not send passwords or unnecessary financial documents with your request. You may also contact the Information Regulator of South Africa about your POPIA rights.

Independent tax information
